Surfacing and Curbing

We provide a variety of playground surfacing. They include poured in place rubber, rubber bark and wood chips. All are installed to meet fall-height requirements and safety standards. Our rubber products are made from 100% recycled rubber organically dyed and non-toxic to children, pets and the environment. We offer installation on surfacing with the purchase and installation of new play systems and recreational furnishings.

Pour in Place

American Play Systems can offer a variety of pour in place products with the installation of a new commercial play system. These are poured-in-place rubber safety surfacing that are suitable for all age play areas and can be installed indoors or outdoors. *Note - In Southern AZ only.

 

Rubber Mulch/Bark

Rubber bark is a an ideal playground surfacing product because it is safer, economical and superior alternative to traditional wood mulch with many beneficial features such as it does not break down, it inhibits mold and fungus growth, does not attract nesting insects, and does not blow or wash away in heavy rain. It is made of 100% recycled tires and its use conserves natural resources.

Wood Chips

Playground Wood Chips are a manufactured wood fiber comprised of soft woods consisting of randomly sized wood fibers the majority of which do not exceed 1.5″ in length and containing 10% to 20% fines to aid in compaction. Our virgin pine wood is 100% organic, directly from the forest to the mill, no chemicals or artificial ingredients.

Curbing

We off a variety of curbing options to complete the safety surfacing you have chosen with the installtion of a new commercial play system. You can choose from options such as concrete or poly timber planks. A our poly timber planks feature an exclusive Surfacing Guide. This guide serves as a ruler on your playground to enable you to easily review your loose fill surfacing depths on your playground and ensure adequate safety surfacing is always maintained. *Note - In Southern AZ only.
